Innovation meets Soul meets an Eclectic Electronic Sound that You must hear to believe

     

this has to be one of the most forward thinking albums that i've heard in a long time. I will be honest, I wasn't expecting it to be this good. I stumbled on this album after listening to their free mixtape by the same name. the mixtape was great, but didn't have the vocal arrangements nor some of the listings that the full album has. When I heard the first track from the actual album, I almost fell out of my chair. The vocalist had a voice and delivery that would match if not exceed that of any soul singer out right now... but this is not a soul album. it is an eclectic mix of sound and soul, funk and fun, hip hop and history. It reminds you of al green, angie stone, sam cooke, james taylor, janelle monae, india arie, thievery corporation, air, mos def, kruder and dorfmeister, and stevie wonder all at the same time. As unbelievable as that sounds, that just how creative this album is...and then it ends too soon. Who are these people? Why haven't I heard of them before now? Music lovers and artist who are looking for something to inspire them to create, this is a perfect album.
