Album Review

Big Businezz features each of the Fam's four members — K-Ill, Redbone, 704, and Snake — along with guest appearances by Traneroc and Ski. The Chicago collective reps its city and its label, Think Big Entertainment, with a rather hardcore style. In addition to an aggressive and sometimes harsh delivery, the rappers also tackle some uncomfortable subject matter: killing, kidnapping, crack smoking, being a hoodrat, being broke, finding a constant weed fix, and the nature of love in the hood. Anyone who finds such subject matter fascinating should no doubt marvel at the Fam since they discuss these issues from the standpoint of Chicago's hoodlife rather than that of Los Angeles, New York, or the Dirty South.
