Looking foward to Vol 2
by JFeinChallenging and exciting experimental music. Being more familiar with Chase's electronics-enhanced chamber music (like Seventh Sense) and opera, Ngoma (which is purely elctronic) has been growing on me with each listen. I really enjoy the interplay between noise and melodic fragments, pitched and percussive sections. Interesting synthesized sounds are mixed to highlight thought-provoking transitions, juxtapositions and poly-rhythms.
Seventh Sense is one of Nick's pieces which combine interactive electronics with a soloist improvising on composed materials. I look forward to hearing more of these released in the future and Velvet Watt Vol 2.
