A great new song. These ladies can sing!

by VoiceofThousands

Yes, Lynda and Scherrie were Supremes. Thank God they still keep that torch burning too. They've performed all over the world as FLOS. Now, they stepped out on their own with a great new song. I danced around listening to it for hours. If some of the other reviewers are any indication, the lyric truly hits home. Not everyone has good intentions. I believe that these two wonderful ladies do, however. Good work. Great vocals. Let's hear some more!

Two latter day Supremes

by Nathan Joy

Lynda Laurence was Supreme #6 while Scherrie was #7. There were 8 in all. But the real Supremes will forever be Mary Wilson, Florence Ballard and Diana Ross. No one has ever matched or ever will the sound made famous by these three original Supremes with Ross at the helm. Her unique voice cannot be equaled and those fervent backgrounds by Wilson and Ballard cannot be duplicated. It's a shame Motown and Gordy didn't give the other two Supremes some moments to shine in their own right and styles. It didn't have to take away from Ross. Lynda came in as a replacement for Cindy Birdsong who filled in when Florence Ballard was fired from the group. Scherrie came in when Lynda and Jean Terrell (#5) left disgruntled. Scherrie and Lynda are good enough singers in their own right but they need to find a new niche. Singing old Supremes song in their own style is like being a tribute group and that's fine. But they need to do their own things. I think they will do much better.

Incredibly Good!

This song is incredibly good. It has a catchy chorus that just screams "sing along," and the performance is stellar. Lynda and Scherrie are not, as the other reviewers stated, Supremes trying to cling to the past. This is a new recording with a new direction by two extremely talented women. Stop comparing it to The Supremes of old. This is new... this is fresh... this is a hot recording, and it deserves to be heard on those merits. STRONGLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Excellent record!!!
