Take a deep breath and you'll smell the dark-roasted coffee or red wine on the tables nearby, the drinkers of which share your incredulity that this young talent has yet to attract major acclaim, which she certainly deserves. By turns introspective and mischevious, her songs entrance with their complexity yet have a simplicity that will have you humming them after one listen and singing them shortly thereafter. Her voice can confidently growl and wail and serenade, never melodramatically, and always in tune. Story Song, Early Girl and Talk to Me are favorites. Enjoy.
