Album Review

The guitars and noise are straight out of My Bloody Valentine's Loveless, but the melodies sound like Pet Sounds and float in and out of the murk, making The Buried Life a catchy, trippy album that aspires to transcendence and sometimes achieves it.

I was so surprised to see this album when looking under Brad Laner's works. This whole album in its entirety is such a treat!! So mesmerizing and never a dull moment throughout. This is worth every penny. If you like this, check out Amnesia and Electric Company. If nothing else...try out "The Pink." F-ing sweet dude!!!

a long overlooked classic

I was pleasantly surprised to see that this finally turned up on iTunes. This is Medicine's best work, although all their records are worth purchasing. Although the mbv comparisons are overused and not quite on the mark, it's a useful starting point for comparison. However, the songwriting and melodies are much more pronounced and sophisticated, in my opinion, that most of the typical shoegaze bands. They don't make records like this anymore, unfortunately.....

dont waste your money on other records.

The harmony is under a "babydoll" blanket of the some of best distortion ever created. Brad Laner lays out some great tracks here. Literally you'll be "fried awake" by this album. yes folk's great "s**t" here.
