Faith+Hope+Love continues to adhere to the immensely successful approach of previous releases from Australia’s Hillside Church. This album documents a sprawling line-up of worship leaders and musicians in three different concert settings, interweaving the tracks into a satisfying whole. Just about every aspect of modern Christian music in touched upon here, from glittering folk-rock (“The First and the Last”) to jumpy power-pop (“God One and Only”) and solemn piano meditations (“His Glory Appears”). There are traces of Bryan Adams-style power balladry in David Ware’s rendition of “Yahweh.” At the other end of the spectrum is Darlene Zschech’s gentle yet passionate vocal on “The Wonder of Your Love.” Even more softly atmospheric is “I Will Exalt You,” featuring a poignant performance by Brooke Fraser. All of the above are merely stylistic variations — what really matters is the reverent spirit within each song and from the swaying communal mood of “For Your Name” to the stirring marching beat of “We the Redeemed,” Faith+Hope+Love never flags.

by climb_iceThis album is intense. While it may be somewhat slower as some readers have suggested, it remains absolutely epic! I didn't like the album at first, but then a switched flipped in my heart and/or brain and I completely changed my mind on this. "We the Redeemed" is my favorite song--those lyrics scream the truths of the gospel!! Hillsong is an example of what happens when musicians surrender to the Holy Spirit and let Him be the center of everything.

by i <3 hillsongthey have some the most moving church music.when you listen to the music it fells like the word of god is being spoken to you when ever you listen to it. they have moving song and then the songs that make you want to rock out and dance to.
