by Dame NickumGreg Mullins has been making music for over 30 years, ripping it up as a rocker in school, singing on the stage, playing guitar on the radio and thumping out tunes with his band. Now, Mullins has joined with an equally gifted musician in Pete Lacy. Their Night Obsessions have woven themselves into and around the best parts of my day. Smooth, sultry at times, these jazzy rifts pick me up and light my way to amazing musical landscapes. I have them on my iPod, but also burned to a CD for my car. Truly I have become obsessed with these nighttime walks. With my eyes closed I can feel myself standing on the warm sultry streets of New Orlean's French Quarter. In the heat of the night, these smooth jazz melodies linger in the air. As intoxicating as Bourbon, sweet as praline and definatly all grown up. I hope LMNO has a long career, because one down load is just not enought.

I have downloaded this to my iPod and burned it on a great disc I play all the time now. Mullins has gone from fronting one of the great bar bands of the 80’s and 90’s to playing grown up music that we all wish we could make. Lacey’s performance on L M N O P is artful and flawless. “Don’t Give Your Heart Away” is melodic yet has a catchy riff that makes me wish that I was a better musician. I am glad cd’s don’t wear out or I would be replacing mine.
