iTunes Review

We Shall Not Be Shaken, Matt Redman's first album in three years, compares favorably with anything the singer/songwriter has released in the past, and Redman’s ability to frame simple messages of praise within the context of modern pop/rock shows further refinement in these tracks. The album’s textures are pleasingly varied — blazing volleys of electric guitar light up “The More We See” and "We Will Not Be Shaken," while “Through It All” sails upon elegant, faintly British strings and horns. Redman avoids histrionics as he sings with a clear, fervent authority, and he reaches especially impressive heights on “How Great is Your Faithfulness,” a majestic waltz with an instantly memorable chorus. The most distinctive track here is “Remembrance (Communion Song),” an understated celebration of the joys of communion. As grand as the themes on We Shall Not Be Shaken are, the album never overreaches or strains for effect. This is praise music rendered with skill and spirit, reaffirming Redman’s enduring stature as a composer and artist.

Matt's new album rocks!!!!!

I just saw him tonight at Rock Church in Virginia Beach, VA with Casting Crowns supporting their new album, "Until The Whole World Hears". That was the best concert ever. Even though there was a contest for getting an autographed guitar signed by the band. Anyway, His new title track is so awesome. Also his songs "How Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and "Dancing Generation". Matt Redman rocks!!!!!!!!

Redman's Best

I am so impressed with Matt Redman's new album. Every song is quality. Matt's lyrics come from a deep place, reflecting on the glory of God and His presence in our lives. This is the best worship album of 2009.

a message we need to hear

I have always appreciated Matt Redman's thoughtful, insightful lyrics - he has delivered the truth faithfully throughout his career, and he continues to provide an unadulterated worship experience in "We Shall Not Be Shaken." However, I am amazed at the music on this album - it is more edgy than his other albums and yet it is so singable. Song after song invites you to worship our unchanging God no matter what else is happening in your life. Again Matt Redman challenges the listener to look beyond our feet and to have an eternal perspective on our circumstances - living for the glory of God. My favorites: We Shall Not Be Shaken, Remembrance, My Hope

The light and passionate sounds of Matt Redman are even more endearing when you know that he writes his own material, something that few pop artists really do. Taking the CCM market by surprise with The Friendship & the Fear in 1998, he revealed himself to be a good singer as well as a thought-provoking...
