Track 9 "pilgrim" is actually "everything's goin on" as stolen from an amazing band called Dead Meadow who have rocked for 10 plus years. If you peak into the gatefold of the vinyl you'll see the 'credit' given to the band. Take a listen to the orginal for yourself and fall in love w/a band who has TRUE talent and integrity. Dead Meadow forever!!!

I listened to this all the way through, it's not so great, and downright bad at times. It's a lot more pop than the last one, mixes of 80's, and 70's type rock throughout. After I listened to it I was left with a bad taste and my mouth, so I listened to Wolfmother's first (amazing!!) album right after and was even more disgusted because of the slope between the two. There first album simply blows whatever this album is! If your thinking about buying it, I'd say don't and go play there first album it's a classic and this is NOT.

I am a lover of Wolfmother and their first cd. I also have fallen in love with Cosmic Egg, but it did take a while! For all those people saying this is a new sound that is not as good before, you are being too picky. Considering only one of the original band members still remains in Wolfmother this album is incredible. If you listen to this album like you have never heard any other music by Wolfmother, I would be amazed if you still didn't like it. Anyone who liked their debut album but does not like this album wanted to hear the EXACT same sound that the first cd; that was not going to happen and those people are being babies.

My initial reaction after listening to the cd is kind of indifferent and maybe even mild disappointment. I then listed to the cd again when I was driving and not trying to analyze the cd. I was hearing the music in a whole new light and it was amazing. Live long and prosper to the new sound of Wolfmother.

Biography

Formed: 2000 in Sydney, Australia

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s

Truly a band out of time, Australian power trio Wolfmother were conceived in 2000 — about 30 years too late, considering that their psychedelic brand of proto-heavy metal sounds like a ringer for late-'60s/early-'70s bands such as Blue Cheer and Black Sabbath. Comprised of vocalist/guitarist Andrew...
