A Star Is Born!!!
by ThePhoenixRisingCasey Stratton become known by many with his major label debut "Standing At The Edge". Truth be told that album was a good album. But its predecessor Whirlwind Medusa showcases an artist ready to break out into starrdom.
By all standards this albums is a held in high regard by many fans as his Little Earthquakes.
From the moment "Ghost" starts you know that you are entering into a worls that Casey has encomapssed you into and takes you along the trail of self discovery, heartbreak and sense that he has found an independence. "Bound To You" is a fan favorite that will break your heart the moment it starts.
I am personally a fan of the breaking free of "Reverse" & "Running" as well as "Hollow" (this is the original recorded version, not he STATE Version) which I personal think surpasses the other version, especially the original lyrics.
This version includes two bonus tracks "Leave Me Behind" & "Sea" endcapping an already haunting album. This a must have for any fan of great piano driven singer/songwriters.
This is an album you will find yourself listening to over and over both in times of heartbreak and hope. A definite must have for any collector of great music.
