The Talent...
by cellodad... that continues to come out of the Interlochen Arts Academy as exemplified by Casey Stratton's offerings, never ceases to amaze me. My son graduated from IAA last May, he has a lot to live up to.
The best yet...

Highway is a fitting song to kick off this album. It gives you the sense youare heading down a road trip with Casey into a new territory.
By the time you are arriving at Sea Change you can feel a change in the air and the positive energy expelling off the political themed track. You get a sense this album shines with a renewed energy. That Casey is reborn.
The next couple tracks lead to a bit of reflection of the painful parts of relationships but someone with a sense that Casey is moving into a healthier space, by the time Hundredth Time kicks in you can see a new strength that is bubbling through the surface of someone letting go of one thing and starting to gain strength.
The Most Human Thing and Slow Motion takes us to a place of familiarity of knowing that the choice to end a relationship is a good and healthy choice.
By the time you get to the final track Time Will Melt Us Away you get a sense that this is a closure of sorts and that Casey is prepared top move to the next stage.
The most amazing part of Memories and Photographs is the feeling that you are sitting with Casey and looking at a box of these very things. That he is sharing to let go of one chapter and begin a new one.
You honestly cant go worng with the purchase of this album. I know it is a gauranteed one that will continue to be in heavy rotation on my music selection.
