A nice change of pace.
by chris drew, i love you.This album is great! It is the same type of music as their previous albums, but of course, they added a cute little flair. And in this case, it's funny lyrics. They're truthful, but unique. What other artist/band out there could pull off such funky lyrics, but still make it sound good? None. This is a lot different (vocal wise) than '...Is a Real Boy', but now the vocals are softer, instead of more upfront. Amazing. I hope Say Anything is around forever!
Song suggestions: Do better, Property, Death for my Birthday, and She Won't Follow You.
Favorite of 2009
by MusicscuzI have been a fan of Say Anything since Is a Real Boy..., this album is a huge change for say anything but I think it is a good change. The songs are poppy and the lyrics are more positive but its not a bad thing after two albums of raging. Also his wife Sherri Dupree of Eisley sings on this fantastic album which adds a lovely touch to it. I believe it is a good thing for bands to change and Say Anything has taking a small step in a new direction that will benefit them greatly.
