Amazing album!!

...Is a Real Boy is by far their best album
by bonn leeI've been an SA fan since the debut of ...Is a RB and that, to me is still their best album. A true original there was nothing out there in the music world quite like it and it ran the gammut from edgy teen angst, fun, semi-pop, punk, and even showed a demented soft side. Even the pop-ier songs were anything but 'playing it safe'. ..Is a Real Boy is an album that you pop in the CD player and listen to it straight through. They grew and developed further in IDOTG but I feel they crammed so much in this album that it was a bit overwhelming and choppy. I found a few favorites like Spores and We Killed it. I was disappointed the first time I heard 'I Hate Everyone' on the radio. At first I didn't realize it was SA...it seemed to blend in with the other songs on the radio. I was hoping that they would break the door down when they entered the radio scene rather than sneak in through the door and simply blend in with everyone else. You may think I'm being hard on these guys but my expectations for this band are extremely high.

by JayFrayI'm going to the Highline Ballroom tonight to see the Eisley/.Moneen./Miniature Tigers/Say Anything show. To be honest I am going to see Moneen so i decided to take a listen to Say Anything and after doing so i have decided to leave immediately after Moneen finishes their set. This is generic emo-pop and I'm not sure how RCA is backing them. Although I'm not a fan of the stlye or song writing the production sounds nice. They sound too similar to all of the other bands who are doing the same thing, it's sad enough for me to write this review. Apparently, kids will "buy anything" these days. Check out The Dear Hunter, Phoenix, Strung Out or Moneen for example for some good, original and creative music.
