this is the most mature output so far..
by bryan deweesewith that said this doesnt mean it is their best effort. Honestly they seem to have lost their "punch", their driving force. Every song kinda slips into another and its hard to tell where one begins and the other ends. If ur a fan already of the band, then get the album and enjoy. If ur new to the band then get their first release and start there.

by Jimby25It's quite obvious that 1997 worked harder on this record than both of their previous records combined. If you look at the progression, you see consistent addition of songwriting techniques, such as vocal harmony, instrumentation, and lyrical content. This record has more harmony than ever, and they've added lap steel guitar, live authentic horns, and more different sounds than you could possibly imagine.
If you want a very mature, and very impressive, record, then you should buy this. It's catchy, and thought provoking, and just sounds fantastic altogether.

by SHUTUPimelanaThis is by far the best album 1997 has released as of yet! Arthi's voice is beautiful and her style has influenced this band in only the best way possible. This album is so much more mature and tasteful and I can't stop listening to it. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys the likes of any saddle creek artist and also for old fans as well!
