Nothing to Prove, Just Down To Grind

The Red Chord still rule because they follow a strict, and very effective formula that most bands that either imitate them or fall into the same category lack; They just know how to f*****g shred. Prey For Eyes was a hard one to swallow because it seemed like they were going all out with every ounce of technicality they had in them. I thought it was amazing but it got mixed reviews. Now with Fed Through Teeth Machine they strive as a four piece and they seem very comfortable with it. The album is a harrowing journey into their most pummeling death/thrash/grind siege yet.

Guitarist "Gunface" Mckenzie controls this album with his jaw dropping metal shred attack breaking into anthemic solos more than ever, connecting perfectly with the drummers inhuman double bass barrage. The bass just grooving the whole thing into effect. Vocalist Guy sounds more menacaing than ever as well, his lyrics promoting a cult like distrust towards a nightmarish tale of human sickness anf somethind I encourage which is the disgustingness of todays heavy music. What seperates this album from the rest is its inability to let up; There is no brooding instrumental tracks or extreme 180 into all out experimentalism. It's just a nasty, death metal infused grind assault that never leaves you room to catch your breath.

The Red Chord are still 100% on top of their game and without risking their originality they strive to bring their sound to new and more crippling levels of sonic uproar. So while many bands who share the same tired blast beats and girlfriend dumped me bad poetry. Fed Through The Teeth Machine offers you a more realistic and malcious look at what hardcore music can still accomplish.

Amazing...just buy it.
