Just because they actually have a goober and the peas song!
Try reading!!!
If you bother to read the artist names next to the tracks it is quite apparent that the songs are not originals. As far as saying that these artists rip the songs apart, I challenge you to compare the original O-o-h Child by the Five Stairsteps and then the Posies and tell me if you can really hear a difference. Great collection by some great bands.
A Solid Tribute Album
The way this album is listed in the iTunes store is a bit confusing. It is a tribute album--a tribute to a genre and not a single artist. All the songs are covers from the early 1990's. Most of them are pretty great. The version of MacArthur Park (by Goober and the Peas, I think, based on my recollection of a cassette label from 13 years ago) is terrific.
