Album Review

When Queensrÿche toured in 1991 in support of Empire, EMI released Operation: LIVEcrime, a limited-edition set containing both a videocassette and a CD of live performances. Interestingly, nothing from Empire is included on this hour-long CD, which instead focuses strictly (and obviously, from the title) on material from the acclaimed Operation: Mindcrime. While EMI would have done better to release an official live album (perhaps a two-CD set?) that also contained some of the songs from Empire, inspired live performances of such gems as "The Needle Lies," "Eyes of a Stranger," "Anarchy-X," and "Electric Requiem" are nothing to complain about.

Love it

I had a 2 hour walk today and decided that Live Crime would keep me company. To tell the truth i like Mind Crime but don't love it. I love Live Crime. Liken one album to a coast guard cutter and the other a battleship.
Eyes of a stranger is my favorite song but I prefer to listen to the entire album in sequence. It is a concept album remember.
If you're a metal fan and enjoy groups like Dream Theater and Pink FLoyd you'll like this stuff.

Best live recording

This is the best live preformance I have ever heard. The fact of the matter is, if you are thinking about buying either mindcrime or livecrime you have to pick livecrime. The sound is crisper then the studio version, and by far more entertaining.
