Pretty Bad Strategy

So. iTunes. Listen up.
Just because you demand that people buy the whole album to buy the Elliott Smith songs doesn't mean they're going to. I, for one, am going to go down to Amoeba Music where I will buy it out of principle.

Also, the music for Thumbsucker is beautifully done, but it's one of those soundtracks that sound best with visuals as well.

by AlvysingerAs far as most of this album goes, it's hit-or-miss, with a tendency towards hit. The songs mostly complement the titular movie perfectly, and despite the overarching theme to this album, the sheer variety is enough to entice one's purchase. But what really drew me in was the song Debate Montage. It is, as expected, the song that plays during the montage of Justin's debate season. It's quite possibly the most beautiful instrumental track ever written, and definitely not something you'd expect out of The Polyphonic Spree, who are known for much different sounds. Get this album.
