Better than I thought it would be - much better
by tvmaster2Even Avril Lavigne said of her first album; "I know I have to make it accessible to a wider audience, but I like to rock out". OK, that wasn't a direct quote, but it is pretty close. So while guitar-geeks wanted Steve Vai in Olivia Munn's body, they're just gonna have to get over it.
She sings way better live than I thought she could - the songs cover a pretty wide net, and unlike many young artists, she gets writing credit on most tracks. "Bad News" stands out as the next single to me - so I hope they get that right.
I'd love to see her supporting Pink on her current tour. Just think, two females who lay waste to those Linkin Park girlies.
What A Concept
by ThisxEscapex86What I find interesting, is how she is a female guitarist with wicked skills, and could do a lot in the rock world, but honestly- the world of Pop does not allow guitar solos too well. I can picture her going into a band as well known as Bullet For My Valentine, but with a female lead guitarist. Lots of girls can actually play guitar just as well or better than Orianthi, but I suppose it's just who you know. 3 stars for getting the credit that others deserve, one for being able to start a path for female guitarists.
