Description
Aqua Forest is the unique application utilizing "OctaveEngine™ Casual," which is a 2D-based multi-physics engine for casual games. This engine uses a particle-based physics model that has few restrictions. It can calculate almost any type of objects, not only solid materials, but also elastic body, plastic body, fluid, and gas. In the "FREE" mode of the application, you can draw and create various shapes of objects and you can experience the ability of this engine. In the "PUZZLE" mode, with exploiting the touch screen and accelerometer, you will challenge the puzzles designed by "OctaveEngine™ Casual" that you'd have never seen before. There are 5 categories, and each category has 10 puzzles. Players are able to play any time the latest puzzle that the other users created all over the world.

Don't waste your money.
While the ideas are cool, the game just runs horribly slow and choppy. I can't believe no one else mentioned that fact in their review as a warning to me. Please be warned.
First App I Purchased from the App Store
To understand why this is worth the money, all you need to do is download the free desktop toy "OE CAKE" from OctaveEngine's web site - which works in either Mac OS X or WIndows. It's based on the same code, and equally as amazing.
Yes, Amazing, But
Go to YouTube and put in "Aqua Forest" and you can see a demo. Incidentally, EVERY APP IN THE APP STORE SHOULD HAVE A YOUTUBE DEMO. Click yes if you agree!
But anyhow, as I was saying, it's a very neat app and right now is probably the first one that I would show someone on the iPhone, but I give it two stars because it's $7.99 and because 1) There's no sound. That would make it very very much more fun and interesting; 2) When there's a lot of stuff going on on the screen it really gets jerky; 3) Something about the physics is weird, it's like physics on superdrugs or something. You just kind of tap the iPhone and the water goes flying and bouncing everywhere. Seems way too sensitive in a way that's not better and a little disconcerting; 4) The "puzzle" levels are really really really easy, and as though they weren't easy enough they are each given titles that tells you what to do to solve them, so there's not even any problem solving going on, just following directions. Pretty lame. 5) Gets old kind of fast.
Still, in the grand scheme of things, on the playing field of life, what's $7.99? I just wish a little more thought had gone into the game, as most of the above should have been obvious to any game testers and unkinked before now.
