Welcome to QUORDY, the touch-play, word search game! The object is to form words among the 16 letter tiles.
QUORDY can be played alone or against friends and is perfect for play on-the-go. Shake or touch your iPhone or iPod Touch to jumble the letters and begin a game.
Touch the first letter of the word you want to make, then slide your finger to the next letter in your word. As long as the letter tiles connect--in any direction--you're on your way.
The real fun begins when you send a QUORDY challenge to a friend. Your friend receives the same game board, and QUORDY compares your results and tallies the score.

Shake it off
Great little game, I especially love the connect-the-dots style of word selection.
My only big complaint is about its obsession with forcing you to shake your phone to start a new game or resume a paused one. Shaking as an input method is a neat idea and a novelty, but for the love of usability, it should *not* be required! Or even if it is required (which it is here), it should at least not make you work for it. I've tried to start this game with just light shakes, and it doesn't seem to think that's good enough. You actually have to shake it surprisingly vigorously at least 3 or 4 times for it to register -- it is impossible to do discreetly when in public, which just makes you look like a tool.
One feature I'd like to see added would be an option to quit a game early, it's not uncommon for me that I've stopped seeing new words on some of the poor boards well before my time runs out, but all I can do is just wait it out.
I Love This Game!!!!
My favorite features is being able to play my friend long distance. Once you register (free) you can play Quordy on your iPhone and it sends the same board to your friend. Your friend can play that board at his/her convenience. It keeps a running track of the number of games won and lost between you and your friend. Playing Quordy Solo is certainly fun...but playing with my friend makes this an incredible game! I hope that more developers provide a similar function in their games.
To the reviewer who was concerned that you have to vigorously shake the iPhone to shake the dice; all you have to do is rub your finger around the board and it shakes the dice. Much less noticeable by those around you!!
If you like Facebook's Scramble, you'll love Quordy.
My friends and I play Scramble on Facebook all the time. For a while, I was completely addicted to it. This is a nice version of Scramble for the iPhone, with innovative interface usage. I completely killed my battery on Day 1 of the 2.0 Update on this app alone!!! For an update, I'd love to see a 5x5 grid and would kill to see a list of words I didn't think to select. I'd also love to be able to turn off the need to "shake" the iPhone to start a new game - it's clever at first but a complete pain on repeat. I'd pay for the app all over again to get these three features.
