Description
Flickup is an application for uploading photos to Flickr directly from iPhone using the same interfaces as the built-in camera and photo albums applications.
With Flickup, you can geotag photos with one touch and set defaults for even quicker uploads. Want to organize or share your photos? Add them to your favorite sets and groups. You can also send links to your photos directly to your preferred Twitter client (Twitterrific, Twinkle and Tweetie currently supported).
What's New in Version 1.5.1
Bug fix:
* Fixed an issue where the full title of a photo wouldn't be sent to the Twitter client if it has certain characters in it.
Customer Reviews
The app serves its purpose well
As an iPhone app developer myself (and also a Flickr app and library developer), I'm happy to have found an app that does exactly what I want. Flickup serves it purpose and serves well. Its interface is simple (arguably this is a disadvantage, as we all love apps with visual depth richness), designed with built-in UI components, and very easy to use. This is a good example of the really useful iPhone app: it focuses on one and only one thing and does it well. Worth every penny, a five-starer hands down.
So simple, works without hassle or mess.
While the UI is a bit messy, the actual functionality is exactly what I was looking for in a Flickr uploader: simple, and to the point, with no need for external services to sign up for, and the ability to upload from camera or album!
It's a great value for the price with all the basic features needed to upload pictures on the go.
There does appear to be a bug which causes 2 copies of images to be uploaded, and as of yet, there's no way to upload to a specific set (hopefully these might be addressed in a future update), but it works exactly as advertised, and really gets the job done!
Upload 640 by 480 fairly well 08-14-08
This worked well. Does seem to have limit of 640by480 the airme app can upload 1024 by 768 to flickr but airme Cabot upload from saved folders. My only complaint is iuploaded two photos in a test and the geo tags were set to my location at the time of upload instead of embedded tags where the photo was actually taken. No double photo post error problem here. I don't know if it can replace the mac for uploading bigger red photos but it is good for quick updates toflockr from an y iPhone photos in your library.
