Accountr for the iPhone and iPod Touch allows you to keep track of on-the-go expenses and earnings. One of the few apps that lets you track your account transactions and also keep a budget.

Almost perfect
I just got this app and for the price it's amazing. Very simple interface and entering items is a snap. My only complaint would be once you've created a catagory you can't get rid of it. I mistakenly put an earn catagory in spend. No big deal but I'd like to be able to correct it and not have to scroll by it all the time. And every catagory MUST have a sub-catagory. Food/groceries warrents a sub-catagory to me, I only get one paycheck so I don't want a sub for that. This is really a minor complaint. It is enough to keep me looking though. But I must say again how much I love the simple/fast entering. A big red and green button simple yet genius. I'm looking forward to see some of the updates. Being able to look at expences by either month/week/day or catagory would be a welcome addition as well.
If you aren't looking for a "full" featured app and want to simply keep a record of transactions and for a price that you just can't argue with I would highly suggest Accountr.
Relatively easy to learn, Sync Capability
I've been looking for a good budgeting app for simple record keeping; I don't need fancy graphs or detailed statistics. If you're looking for a more powerful software with these features, it seems the "Budget" app can do those tasks. Accountr is an affordable solution for my requirements. Since iTunes seems to wipe data occasionally (reports have been varied among iTunes users), I was looking for a way to backup my data easily to the web. The Accountr app does this as a new feature from the Sep. 15th update through Google Docs.
As for the learning curve, I found it difficult to start out. The organization of the app data is in two main types, "Earn" and "Spend". And they do what you would expect; earn entries add a positive entry while spend entries add a negative entry to your running totals. Within each entry type, you must make a main category (ie. food, entertainment, etc.) and also create subcategories (ie. under entertainment: movies, concerts, CDs/DVDs, etc.). Then you can add expenses to the appropriate subcategory (and only subcategories can be credited).
I read another review that said that categories were not able to be deleted, but I found that (at least in the September 15th version) you can delete a category by finger swiping across the name of the category, much like fast deleting an e-mail. It will present you with a delete confirmation, easy enough. Accountr is not the most elegant and simple app, but after learning it for several minutes, it can be a powerful tool for your budgeting needs.
Amazing Application
I love this application! It's amazingly easy to use, very straight forward, and pleasing to the eye!
I actually had a small issue at first, the program crashed and wouldn't load at all. However, I contacted the developer and he responded very quickly and several times! I was very surprised I recieved so much help. I ended up deleting the program, and re-syched the program back onto the phone and the problem was fixed!
So far I've had no issues with the program and love it! This is the only program I have bought from the iTunes App Store an I don't regret it for one second!
Of course I look forward to updates from the developer.
Hopefully this program will discourage me from needlessly spending money.
