wurdle is a fun, flexible and fast-paced word game, perfect for coffee breaks or the subway. Find and trace as many words as possible before time runs out. Can't find any more words? Great addictive Boggle game!
This is definitely one of the best Boggle games out there. The graphics are neat and friendly. The interface is very intuitive. Just drag along the letters or shake to shuffle the tiles. It's very customizable. You can choose not only your play time and grid size, but also your own tiles (You can even pick your own images from your iPhone photo library!). High scores are kept online along with the longest words. I found the game very addictive. I'm playing it whenever I find time. At this price, this game is a steal!
Fantastic
I've loved Quordy since it came out, which offers a similar Boggle-type experience, but I have to say the feel and options of wurdle are far and above what Quordy currently offers. The various choice of grid sizes and times are great, scoreboards, I love the different tile themes (all of which are nice, as opposed to the type of games that give you many options but only a couple usable ones), but by far one of the best additions is the ability to shuffle the tiles with a shake. It keeps you from running out of options and just watching the timer tick by. I thought this would make the game too easy, until I noticed the point penalty for doing it, so it's not something you can abuse - good balance.
In short, I HIGHLY recommend wurdle based on my short time with it so far. I can't think of anything wrong with it. About the only thing I can see in future updates is maybe more tile themes to keep things interesting after awhile. And for the price? You can't beat it.
My features wish-list
Great little game. Here's my wish list for a future version:
1) After a game I'd like to see all possible words so I know what I missed, with the board still visible so I can find them (a great way to learn to play better)
2) Two-player mode? Either with two iPhones or massively multiplayer on-line? Is this possible?
3) The high-scores list should be categorized not just by time, but by grid size, shouldn't they? Finding a long word on an 8x8 grid is a lot easier than on a 4x4 grid, right?
