Description
Sync In A Blink is a simple and easy to use application designed to synchronize your Google Gmail Contacts with the contacts on your iPhone. All you need to get started is your Gmail account. No additional online services are required and none of your data is stored outside of your iPhone and Gmail account.
WHY USE SYNC IN A BLINK INSTEAD OF GOOGLE ACTIVESYNC?
- Google sync clears all iPhone contacts when setting up the account and when removing an account. Sync In A Blink merges your contacts so that none are lost.
- Google sync limits contacts to 3 email addresses and does not use labels for e-mail addresses (i.e. Home, Mobile, Work, etc...). Sync In A Blink has no limit and allows labels.
- Sync In A Blink allows you to sync specific groups and exclude others, Google Sync synchronizes all "My Contacts" and has no group filtering.
- Sync In A Blink provides group management on your iPhone, allowing you to add and remove contacts from groups.
- Sync In A Blink provides a complete history and backup of all syncs, from which you may restore contacts or contact details at anytime
- Sync In A Blink provides a comprehensive conflict management screen for when conflicts do arise while syncing - for example if you changed the same phone number on the same contact on your iPhone and on Gmail. This feature gives YOU full control over what information is merged.
- Sync In A Blink allows you to merge contacts right from your iPhone. There is no need to go online to do this.
- Google Sync is an Exchange ActiveSync account and the iPhone only allows one ActiveSync account. Thus by using Sync In A Blink, you are still free to use your office ActiveSync (Microsoft Exchange) account at the same time. This means that you can keep your Gmail contacts AND your office contacts in sync.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Before doing your initial sync, please read the documentation. It contains a lot of information to help you with your first sync. Gmail does not allow multiple contacts with the same e-mail address so you could get some conflicts when you sync for the first time. The documentation explains the options available to you for your first sync.

Works perfect, better than Mobile Me!
5 bucks and it does more than mobile me! Mobile me would never sync all of my contacts to gmail or tell me why. This found 6 problems with duplicate email addresses and easily helped me merge the contacts. Too bad it doesn't sync calendar.
Took about 15 minutes for a first sync and less than a minute for the second sync all over wifi.plus it keeps a backup so you can restore selected contacts which mobile me does not do either.
I have been using Nuevasync for calendar sync which is free and picass is a much better photo site than mobile me as well.

Awesome App, Works Perfectly
I used to use nuevasync to keep my contacts in sync, but I noticed a decrease in battery life since it is always connected using some sort of exchange server. I decided to try Sync in a Blink as I wouldn't need a constant connection to my gmail contacts. I ran my first sync and all my contacts synced in a few seconds. Since then I sync every so often and Sync in a Blink works perfectly. It even warns me of conflicts and allows me to choose which values are correct. It also provides you with a back up of your contacts in case you ever lose everything and need to reload from the backup. Great App, I definitely recommend.
A must have
If you have gmail and a iPhone you must get this app. If you need a way to get from mobile me this is it.
