Life changing app!
I just learned something. I'm a slow reader. Actually I knew that already, but what I just learned is how much of a difference it makes. When you use Read Demon you can read the training passages faster than you can read printed text because of the way the words appear on the screen. When I first started it was really, really tough but after a few minutes I started being able to read faster than I thought possible. After two lessons I went and read an article on the NY Times and tried to read it as fast as I could and I actually got through it pretty fast and I actually understood what I was reading. I'm not expecting a miracle here but I am getting real excited thinking about how much time I can save at work given the amount of email I get. This is definitely the best app I've downloaded on the app store so far.
Great Productivity Tool
It seems that every day there is more to do than I can possible get done, and at the end of the day things fall through the cracks. I am always looking for ways to increase my efficiency and reading faster will be a huge improvement. I can free up more time or read more, either way I come out ahead.
It appears that the method used in this app is well grouded in scientific study. There is a significant amount of information on the web to back it up. I trust that after practicing I will see continued improvement. One of the best things about having this on your iPhone is that any time you have a few minutes to spare you can practice. Very efficient!
