Student pilots - Get ready for your FAA instrument rating knowledge exam!
Instrument-rated pilots - review your knowledge to make sure you still remember all the rules and regulations.
Version 1.0 lets you study for the exam by going through all the questions in a random order. Appropriate figures are attached to the relevant questions. You can simply switch between the question and figure view if the questions has a figure associated with it. All the figures are clear and legible. You can pinch the figures to zoom in and out of the larger ones, such as the approach plates. This functions in the same way as the Photos App.
Once you select an answer, you will either get a check mark if your answer is correct or an x if you picked one of the incorrect answers. The correct answer will also be displayed. Additionally, you will see how many questions you have answered correctly out of the total number of answered questions. This number will change as you progress through the questions.
Planned for the future versions:
* Test mode - A simulation of the real exam; 60 questions, 2.5 hours to finish
* Correct answer explanation - learn why a specific answer is the correct one.
* Integrated calculator(s).

Great app, great price!
It's so handy to be able to whip out my iPhone or iPod and get some studying done whenever I have a few minutes. Much better than carrying around my Gleim book!
Excellent IFR test prep for the price
Although I had already passed my Instrument written way before this app came along I have really enjoyed using it to keep me sharp and current.
This is my favorite app on my iPhone for spur of the moment trivia with fellow pilots or self testing.
If there is ever a new version with a few more features I will gladly consider purchasing it as well.
Bugs?
Useful app however I've found a few bugs where answers are either wrong or the app reports them wrong. Figure 126 question about circling localized approach reported correct answer was localized with dme mins rather than circling with dme mins as one example.
It took me a few days to catch this via reference to my pc gleam install.
Makes for a very dangerous study tool.
