- fixed some crashes

...yeah, About that whole map meltdown problem...
Limited feature set? OK, understood.
Promises to expand? OK, good enough for me.
Nodes sporadically multiplying by the hundreds rendering a map useless?
Some "bug"! I'd prefer the app just crash instead!
This is a sporadic event during node creation. The interface goes haywire causing a graphical seizure that irretrievably cripples your whole map!!!
Fair warning to potential buyers:
Developer is trying to ignore a critical, data-destructive glitch in this app.
This is dishonest.
Don't buy until he/she acknowledges the problem and fixes it!
Not sorry I paid my $4.99
I figured it was worth a try since it's the first mind mapping app to show up for the iPhone. It's obviously still in its early stages, but what's there works well, and it's usable as-is.
I'd encourage the developer(s) to think carefully about what they add, keep in mind that it's going to be used on an iPhone, not a desktop screen. If they attempt to keep adding features to try to make it more like a desktop, it's not going to be very useful or usable. For instance, it may be useful to be able to import a very complicated mind map (of a project, say) from a dektop so you always have it with you, but you're never going to want to *create* one on an iPhone. More likely, you're going to want to jot down a few thoughts and reorganized them a little--what mindmaps were invented for (capturing and organizing unformed "stuff" from your head to "paper").
That said, the thing I was most surprised to not see in the first release was the ability to move "nodes" around. Entering things works well, but you can't really reorganize them at all yet. If you decide after you've entered it that "tomatoes" belongs under "fruits" instead of "vegetables", the only way to move it there is to delete it from vegetables, select fruits, and enter it again (made even more tedious by the iPhone's baffling lack of cut and paste). Dragging nodes around is one of the most valuable (and fun) features of a mind mapping app. I hope they can get it implemented soon.
I'd also be happy if text wrapping was high on the new feature list, so it would be possible to see more than just the first few words of an entry.
Of the other things people have mentioned here, the most important is probably the ability to import a file from a desktop app (perhaps in Mind Manager's .MPX format, which most other apps seem to read and write). And, of course, some way to export the files to a PC.
Looking forward to future versions.
Use as view only for now
I was at an auto shop waiting for my car and decided to do some mindmapping. I got over 100 ideas mapped into my phone and then closed the app. Went back to it an hour later and only a third of them were still there. Needless to say I am very displeased with this application and will not be using it as I intended to. Serious work to be done on this app to make it worth it. I'm not the only one with this problem either. Look at the other reviews.
