Play No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em and improve your skills against strategies used by the top poker pros, a uniquely efficient betting mechanism, a sharp interface, and lots of configurable options.

Great AI, needs more features
This app works perfectly for practicing my strategy for small buy-in fast tournaments. However, its lack of any kind of career mode, escalating difficulty, or rewards for success make it simply a simulation and not a real entertainment experience.
That said, it gets 4/5 because the AI is so much better than other hold'em games I've played. Playing my fast, aggressive style I am able to win often but not always. The opponents react much more realistically to aggressive bets. They also go all-in with more frequency as their stack gets down around 10 big blinds or so. They seem to at least occasionally make moves based on position.
The game needs a menu screen. I don't like how it starts right away w/o an opportunity to choose my game type, etc. It would also be nice to be able to format games to start with only blinds, but then add antes at higher blind levels.
With a little work for version 2.0, this could be an outstanding game.
AI above and beyond A++++
I finally found a Holdem app that has artificial intelligence to match my play. I can't win tournaments everytime like other apps. If u want a simulation like live play then buy this app.
Quick game & oh so easy to use ...
I really love Apple's Hold-Em game; but this one is really so much more enjoyable in the long run. It lets you concentrate more on the game and less on the graphics ... probably because there really aren't any fancy ones. I like this a lot. Now, don't get me wrong; the original Hold-Em game is very slick; but I think this is the one I'll be using most of the time.
