Beautiful, but flawed...
This app has such an awesome, fun, beatiful user interface that it makes a great example of what an iPhone app can and should look like...! People should get it, even if they don't care about their weight -- just to enjoy the simple beauty of it...! ;)
That being said, it does have a few flaws in terms of usability as of now:
- you can only go back 90 days
- there is no list view, so you can either scroll through the days or view the graph
- the graph includes all dates, even if the don't contain any data, which makes it a pain to scroll through if you are on a long-term program and only check and enter your weight once a week or so
- there is no international localization (but it does support the metric system as well as the US system)
- you can't export the data by any means
The developers seem very responsive though and I am sure they will improve this app over time and probably bring us a few other, similarly stunning, apps in the future...! And when they do I will gladly revise my review...!
Scrumptious (with zero calories)!
After downloading Weightbot, I was compelled to write my first review.
I particularly appreciate :
1. Entering weight is ridiculously quick and easy. No more than three taps are required;
2. Deleting an accidental entry is not only possible (unlike other weight tracking apps), but also it's ridiculously quick and easy;
3. Receiving immediate confirmation that I am in the BMI zone of choice (BMI is not only calculated automatically, it's color coded);
4. Identifying dates with recorded weight is explicit thanks to the salient visual indicator;
And the entire process is visually downright tasty!
The app works as promised, hence the 5 stars. However, I'd like to see Tapbots tackle :
1. Ability to track body fat percentage.
2. Ability to track body measurements.
3. Ability to forecast date (based on historical data) of when weight loss/fat percentage reduction goal will be reached.
4. Ability to view historical analysis, e.g., gain/loss of pounds (daily, weekly, monthly); gain/loss of pounds (fat, muscle); and gain/loss of inches.
One of the most polished apps available!
