About JLPT Quiz
This simple quiz game is to help people prepare for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test - the JLPT. This has the appropriate graded vocabulary and testing in a variety of ways is possible. For words that has kana and kanji only enter the kana for the part that is relating to the kanji. ie for kun-yomi, only input kana until the last kanji.
About JLPT
The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (日本語能力試験, nihongo nōryoku shiken), or JLPT, is a standardized test to evaluate and certify the language proficiency of non-native Japanese speakers. It is held once every year, on the first Sunday of December. The JLPT has four levels beginning at level 4 and progressing to level 1 - the most difficult.

Read up on Japanese Placement test before buying this, or you only have yourself to blame.
This is not a program to buy unless you are comprehend japanese very well, and are able to comprehend the 2000 kanji required by the test. This is a tool for a serious student, not an amateur. The lowest level is jlpt 4 which requires you to know the most basic of kanji (100) and have a decent vocabulary (800 words). And it goes on jlpt3 through jlpt1 (jlpt 1 being the most advanced of course)afterwards. So this isn't a study aid for people just starting, its a quiz just like the name says and they description states. There is no reason to have an romanized version of the word your supposed to be able to read in kanji. They should have put out lite versions for the program, despite the low app cost.
Perfect Preperation Tool
For the JLPT. I am a Japanese major and I find this practice test to be a valuable tool for helping me prepare for the Japanese Language Proficency Test. This is not for beginners, but for people who already have a grasp on the basics of Japanese. It is obvious that the above reviewer did not read the description of the application before purchasing it.

There is no English definitions to understand the word. There are much better software out on ipod touch or iPhone. I'm supprised that this companys now makes crappy software on the iPhone also. I'm rating this software bad is because this I'm suprised with a lot of experience this company has for the Japanese cellphone market they sell ported over crappy software to the iPhone also. To everyone, don't get fooled from this company! They are thieves! They stole money from me twice now (iPhone and my old cell phone)
