Great app, room for improvement
I really like this app. In addition to providing what's available for free with World Wiki, it has a nice quiz function that questions you by capital, location, flag, or a mix. This is worth the $1 to me.
My suggestions for future updates: 1) ditch the cheesy colors and courier-new font in the "Capital" and "Flag" section for each country. Using a simple, clean font and neat colors will make this app much more visually appealing (and less amateur looking), 2) have a home page option to view an entire simple, political world map with zoom functions, this would make this app amazing, 3) the questions in the quiz repeat quickly and I have gotten the same question two times in a row-- please try to fix this, 4) It would also be nice to have a "score" and a list of scores on the quiz, 5) along the same lines as #1, a black/grey bar will make the app more sleek looking than the current maroon colored bars.
Overall definitely worth the buy if you would like to have a geography quiz + information bundle in one. Thanks for making this app!
Brilliant app!
So far I think this is the best app I have bought so far. I've always been a nerd when it comes to learning about other countries and this app seems like it was made just for people like me. This app has taught me about countries I have never even heard of before. lol. It's also great if you need to pass the time in a waiting room or between classes.
world countries
I think this is a great app! My kids are preparing for a geography bee and it has information from the most basic to really detailed. Each country has more than one map (regional and detailed), official language, current government info, economic info, which side of the road people drive on (!), calling code, geographical information (including arable/crop lands, irrigated land, current environment issues, age demographics etc....) PLUS there lots of ways to quiz yourself! Great for kids and adults. Graphics are very good. Wow.
