Throw an "air punch" with your iPhone or iPod Touch and Punch-O-Meter calculates a punch score based on accuracy, speed, and

Punch-O-Meter is not your standard carnival game test of strength. Challenge yourself or challenge a friend. No need to have them come over to strap on the gloves; send them your punch score through text or email. When they punch back, the winner is determined and the scores are posted on the Punch-O-Meter website (doapps.com/punch). Make sure you get some practice in, because this one-of-a-kind game is tough to cheat.
You get immediate feedback from your punch, a visual meter shows your numeric score, and one of more than 40 comeback phrases pops up, such as:

NOTE: Punch-O-Meter calculates a punch score based on multiple factors and characteristics of the punch thrown. A hard punch may be beatable by the same hard punch thrown in a straighter line. Factors that POM considers when calculating a punch are: speed of your punch, strength of your punch, and straightness of your punch.
To improve your punch, try eliminating things like the "flick" movement of the device at the end of the punch or punching through a straighter line. Long story short, punch it out and you'll figure it out.

This app is sooooo addictive!!!!!
My wife and I bought the app because we could text message and email challenges to one another. We were hooked on it all day. I notice it has a web site where results can be posted too. It took me a while to get the hang of it but once I did, I could get over 100 pretty consistently. It's great to do the challenges and it is so addictive!!!! It's like a little Nintendo Wii game. I think it would be cool to be able to post results on Facebook or if the web sote was a Facebook App. My kids love it too except now they are running around saying "Punch O Meter".
2 words, FUN AND ADDICTING!
Fun and challenging. My family and I played on and off ALL DAY! kept going back to it again and again. I like it!
Great App - Love It!!!
We've all been waiting for someone to come out with a unique app in the store - this is it! I love it, can't put it down. For those saying that it is fake, you just haven't played it enough. I started out getting low scores (under 40) even though I was punching as hard as I could, after playing for awhile I'm beginning to get the hang of it and am getting in the 130's and 140's. Its totally in the touch. Go out to the support site and there are some hints on how punches are calculated, it isn't all in the strength of the punch it depends on straightness, length, etc of the punch. Just play with it for awhile and you start to get the hang of how it measures your punch. Next to try out the Fight option, sounds like you can send punches to other iphones and have a "fight" with them.
