Good free snow reports
Every snow report so far has its strengths and weaknesses, this one included. It is laid out quit well, providing basic weather conditions for each resort. The graphics are great and I like the ability to change the background wallpaper. The trail map is not always useful, for example the Whistler/Blackcomb map cannot be zoomed enough to make it useful. The resort site and NOAA buttons are links to the corresponding sites in Safari, taking you out of the application. The search function could not find as many resorts as competing applications. It does not show the number of trails or lifts open, nor does it show the number of acres. All in all, it is a great free snow reporting tool.
Does not work at all
The original version was great. The recent versions take too long to load... And this most recent update... minor bug fixes? How about shortening the startup time to something under a week?? In the time it takes for this app to load I could drive to the mountain myself and take my own snow depth measurements.
Perfect
Like many Coloradoans, I own a ski pass that includes many mountains along I-70. I often hop in the car and start driving, not even knowing which one I'm headed to. This great app lets me check out all my favorite and mountains and decide where I'm going on the fly, based on who has the most new snow. I've downloaded a lot of snow apps, including the pay ones, and this one blows them all away.
