For full screen view, do an upwards swipe with 3 fingers. Repeat that to get the keyboard. A three fingered downward swipe brings the toolbars back.

Don't waste your time or money on lesser RDP applications. Jaadu Remote Desktop is the only one truly designed for the iPhone. The "secret sauce" is the user interface. Rather than putting the remote cursor directly under your finger, you "push" it around, as if your screen were a transparent trackpad. This yields a number of benefits. First and most important, it enables you to see what's under the cursor, so you can position it precisely over controls that are typically going to be too small to operate accurately otherwise. Second, it combines panning functionality with cursor movement, which eliminates a lot of hassle trying to navigate around the remote screen. It's out-of-the-box thinking and nothing less than brilliant.
Jaadu RDP gets the basics right, too. Its menu bar has well-organized icons for entering keyboard shortcuts, special keys and commands. I especially like the way the on-screen keyboard is implemented because you see the text plainly above the keys, not just as tiny letters on the remote desktop. Of course pinching will zoom in and out, but I find this less necessary than with other remote-control applications, thanks to the thoughtful interface. Rotation is supported (and can be turned off). You can save your username and password. Custom ports are supported. The experience of using Jaadu RDP is quite fluid and extremely stable. In weeks of regular use, it has not crashed and I have not experienced screen refresh artifacts or bugs, making other RDP apps seem like shoddy, beta-quality releases.
There are other great features which separate Jaadu from the rest of the pack:
• Audio from the host computer can be streamed to your device. In practice this is not the way you want to listen to your MP3 collection; even over WiFi-G the audio is highly compressed and a bit choppy, but it's certainly "best effort" given the limitations of the device and extremely useful for system alerts.
• You have quite a bit of control over various settings, such as how many visual effects to present from the remote Windows computer and whether to bring the remote sound to your device. Thus, you can optimize for whatever connection speed is available.
• A handy "Remote Menu" brings all the useful key combinations you need together in a single, easily accessible spot, as well as useful shortcuts for commands like Copy/Paste, Quit, and Select All.
• In addition to presets for typical screen sizes, you can set custom, arbitrary screen sizes. You could design a special "user" on your Windows box optimized for the iPhone/iPod Touch screen, for example.
• The documentation for this product is thorough and easy-to-understand. The web site is attractive and clean, and iPhone/iPod Touch friendly.
• There is an optional "Jaadu RDP Connect" application for Windows that makes it super-easy to connect to your Windows computer from anywhere in the world. It automatically configures your PC and router, PLUS dynamic DNS, eliminating a huge stumbling block for many users.
My only *minor* quibble is that the iPod/iPhone status bar (with the time and battery indicator) and Jaadu menu bar are always present, taking up valuable space. I prefer giving the entire screen over to the remote desktop. Either scroll them off the top (as in mobile Safari), or perhaps a finger gesture to show/hide them. [When I wrote the developer with this concern, I received a reply within an hour promising it in a future version.]
All in all, the "fit and finish" on this product is without peer. Not only is it robust, but beautiful: as you connect, a swirling animation teleports you to the remote system; the icons and UI effects are superbly executed. Highly professional and a joy to use. I consider it worth every penny and one of the best investments I've made in an iPhone app.
Great Application!
Jaadu Remote Desktop is a GREAT application for ALL levels of users, ranging from BEGINNERS to EXPERTS. Whether you are just using it as a remote to control your media or performing server level operations, this app fits the bill! For me, the greatest feature is the ability to STREAM SOUND, and ENCRYPTION is another really big one (benefits of remote desktop over VNC)!
The support is great, they reply to comments/concerns very quickly. I had a question about the app initially and received a response within 24 hours!!

This is exactly what I needed! If your a windows admin with and iphone then you NEED this program!
I've been searching for the ultimate pocketable PC for some time. I have the oqo 02 w/ EV-DO and I have a Dell Vostro 1400 with built-in EV-DO. I also have the iphone. Because of this program I have now decided to eliminate the OQO via ebay and keep just the iphone 3g and the Dell Vostro 1400 w/ EV-DO. I also don't see the point in a netbook any more. Or even an OQO or Fujitsu U820 style device. I have an Iphone 3g with the incase slider battery case. The iphone 3g plus Jaadu Remote Desktop and the aforementioned batt-pack give me the freedom I've been seeking. All too often I've been on call and unable to respond to an IT emergency without loosing my place in line to go get the laptop from the car or praying to catch the backup Admin via cell.
Throw away the crude blasters and master the elegance of this device! A true jedi needs only the elegance of his light saber (iPhone3g).
Sorry for being such a dork but I really really like this app! Their VNC app was great but the lack of security was a serious concern!
This has 56bit security and the next version will have 128bit.
