Probably the best radio app. Needs a couple tweaks.
I own every single radio tuner app. I am a radio junkie. That having been said, here are my thoughts:
Pros:
-Tunes very fast
-Very reliable so far
-Better interface than competitors
Cons: (all pretty minor)
-After you choose a station, you have to press a button to listen. This is a pointless extra step.
-Streams should list bitrate
-Needs more streams (where are the various bbc stations that wunder radio tunes?)
-You should be able to sort favorites like most of the other radio apps
If Rogue Amoeba fixes this stuff, they have a 5 star app.
Only mp3-based streams supported ?!
Check the listings first - only MP3 streams are seemingly supported - if your favourite radio station stream is in any other format then you're toast ! I listen to the BBC stations significantly and they're all in RealPlayer format - which the iPhone can't handle - it's not Radioshift's issue.. but the warning needs to be prominent on the App Store regarding the mp3-only limitation.
I'm still a great fan of RogueAmoeba software...
Pure Awesome
This app is really cool. I've got my iPhone sitting next to me right now streaming Christmas music. Just a few taps and I can find any music I want wherever I am. The "near by" feature is great for finding local stations in case you need local news updates. Keep up the great work!
