Description
Basic spatial analyses using anthropometry are fundamental to ergonomics and human factors assessments and many engineering design problems. myAnthro-Basic estimates body segment lengths using a simple technique called "proportionality constants". These are the average ratio of a given body segment length to stature. Users can enter a stature (height) in millimeters or inches or select from some predefined percentile values taken from two populations (ANSUR and NHANES).
Since two people of the same height are not required to have exactly the same arm, leg, and other segment lengths, this is a helpful tool for exploring relationships.
This is an ideal tool for undergraduate Industrial Engineering homework requiring the use of proportionality constants.

What's New in Version 1.2
The big change: the male and female stature summary statistics are from the 2003-2006 NHANES surveys. These are the most up-to-date data on civilian anthropometry for the U.S.

This app measures up
Great app... simple and easy to use. Makes proportionality constants fun! Nice logo, too.
Great for an elementary school student
Might be useful for basic use for an elementary school student up to 4th grade. Otherwise, useless.
I always knew my arms were short
Does what it says it does. Feature request: It should tell you how much the human head weighs.
