Description

SpinCalc™ is a unique children's calculator that feels like a game, but teaches children what arithmetic really means. Kids enter the numbers by simply spinning the wheels. If the wheels are set to 9 and 3, you see:
• Addition: 9 + 3 = 12
• Subtraction: 9 - 3 = 6
• Multiplication: 9 x 3 = 27
• Division: 9 ÷ 3 = 3

SpinCalc has no keyboard - just two wheels to spin, which makes it easy and fun for kids.

Dots TV™:
The educational value comes from "Dots TV", shown in the screen shots. The TV channels show little boxes that illustrate the actual results of a calculation. For example:
• Addition TV shows 12 color-coded dots for "9 + 3"
• Subtraction TV shows 6 green dots for "9 - 3", but 6 red dots for "3 - 9".
• Multiplication TV shows 27 dots (9 rows of 3 dots each) for "9 x 3".

Multiplication tables come alive with Dots TV. Where else can your child actually see the results of 9 x 12 as 108 little boxes? Do you know how big 2,000 is? Multiply 40 x 50, and see 2,000 dots appear on the screen.

Simple For Young Children:
You can simplify SpinCalc for young kids by turning off various features, including:
• Addition
• Subtraction
• Multiplication, or
• Division
• Zero (so only numbers from 1 to 50 appear on a wheel)
• Numbers up to 10, or up to 50

See our web site or YouTube for a video of SpinCalc in operation.

What's New in Version 1.12

A complete user interface makeover. The colorful main screen now looks like a game, not a calculator.

The number wheels are now color-coded, and the colors are used to make it easier to understand what it means to add numbers together.

The program is not only more fun for children to use, but also more educational.

And, a new lower price...

Fun learning tool

My daughter is in first grade. She really likes to play with this and explore how all these numbers relate. I think this will help her understand the underlying principles her homework is supposed to be teaching.

I even think it's kinds fun.

FUN!

What a great tool for learning math! I wish I had something as clever as this as a kid. The kids I do know love to play with it. Very educational & fun. What more could you ask for?
