Description

GoodFood by Goodrec is the best way to find great places to eat! See what other users like you love. Make quick thumbs up or down recommendations for a restaurant, and add a quick tip to briefly say what makes the restaurant great.

CNN Travel named GoodFood one of "Five Apps You’ll Want to Pack” when traveling

CNET called it the "Twitter of user reviews"

Features

+ Launch an interactive map of your location with restaurant recommendations nearby
+ Zoom and pan, just like with Google maps, to find a restaurant where you want to go out
+ Narrow down your choices quickly based on cuisine, price or what your friends recommend
+ Connect with Facebook to make, share and remember recommendations with your friends.
+ Make recommendations using your real name, or just your initials.
+ Add restaurants photos in seconds.
+ Remember restaurants by creating a "Want to Go" list. These will always appear first and in bright blue when you look at the map
+ Restaurants change quickly: Be the first to add new restaurants or mark a place as closed right from the app
+ Can't decide where to eat? Shake your iPhone on our map view for a recommendation. Keep shaking until you find something you like!

My new favorite food app

Find where you want to eat nearby, but much easier to use and better more concise info. Smooth interface with Google maps so you immediately see restaurants around you and their ratings at the same time. Then you can filter from there, including just what your friends think if you and they are registered at goodrec. I like that when you click on a restaurant you see a list of the brief reviews and the count of how many good, bag, and mixed reviews the place has received. So fast to find what I'm looking for, my closest options, or somewhere new to try.

Nothing beats GoodFood's elegant simplicity

When I want to find a place to grab a bite or a drink, GoodFood is the only one app I turn to. You just start it up and you instantly see what's around you with concise, very easy to read ratings. Filtering couldn't be much easier; no complicated spinners, shaking or typing. Just tap and apply. GoodFood is in a crowded market, but they know what works: short reviews from locals you trust and an excellent user experience.

Good and Bad

This app does list many restaurants in my area. Only problem is the information listed is 2 years old for some locations. About half of the listings have closed or changed hands 1-2 years ago. Not reliable, so I'm going to delete it from my library.
