what in the whrrl?
Whrrl is revolutionizing the way i log and keep tract of all my experiences. I love taking random pictures so it's a great tool to organize my photos. It's amazing how i can take pictures, post them to whrrl and get instant feedback from my friends. I can get an immediate answer to things like which outfit i should buy while i'm out shopping. When i go out with my friends, it's even better because all the photos your friends take are combined into one experience, you never have to wait for someone to email you pictures again!
finally something I can see using for years not weeks... and many times per day!
cool app. there have been a number of location and social apps on the iphone, but this is the first that goes beyond discovery of places and where your friends are to creating a "story" about a place, a time with friends, a funny incident somewhere, etc.
The app is very polished and intuitive. As an individual user I like the functionality where I can create a story and archive it for myself (like my own location aware digital diary), share it with my close friends via Facebook or Twitter, or share it with anyone. I'm leaving breadcrumbs in the world about my life and can determine who I want to share them with.
I can also imagine looking at other people's stories to learn about a city, a specific place, or a person.
this is a very solid start and can't wait to see where else they take this. after all if people write novels in Japan over SMS then allowing even the lay mobile user to create their own stories in life should have broad appeal!

This app has entered my top 5 favorites! For those who love the idea of creating stories, and capturing great events this is your solution. This Whrrl v2.0 allows you to create those memorable experiences as they happen. You can capture the times, dates, people, photos, quotes, and location in real time – creating an instant online scrapbook for you to share with family and friends, or just keep as your own private memorabilia. If you are a parent then this product is made for you! Being myself a mom, this app gives me the opportunity to capture all the adorable moments with my son. No more telling myself – “I must always remember this” or “I have to write about this when I get home” only to be followed up with me completely forgetting. I can capture these moment immediately and have them forever!
