Bait & Switch
This is a wonderful App. It does what it says and seems to do it very well. However, while the App is free, you can only use its functionality for 10 minutes before noise is introduced to make your free App less than perfect. I don't know why none of the other reviews fail to mention that you have to pay a minimum fee of $25.00 to get quality performance for more than 10 minutes. Your unregistered copy of Airfoil, which is needed for the free App to work, displays the following notice: "Airfoil is currently unregistered, and noise will be overlaid on all transmissions over 10 minutes. To prevent this, please purchase a license."
I am not judging whether or not Airfoil Speakers Touch is worth $25.00, I just find it offensive when the term free means $25.00.
Misleading and offensive
Don't call an app "free" when you spring a $25 dollar tag on us after downloading your "FREE" app. That's cheap and slightly vulgar. Really guys? Come on.
Great FIRST Effort
This works well - very similar to the much cheaper Airphones.
To that end, RA needs to add some clearly-missing functionality:
- Like every other review, I'd like some controls, please.
- How about adding the ability to control sources IN THE APP? It's ludicrous to require people using a wireless connection to actually go log into a computer...to stream to their iPhone/Touch. Not sure why this us missing and it needs to be rectified immediately.
