Description

Play a quick game of 1-on-1 Texas Hold'em anywhere. Play against a friend, or against your iPhone or iPod touch. Even play wirelessly against a friend on their own device!

Easy and elegant touch controls keep the mechanics of the game simple and beautiful. (It's even won an award, placing in the "Best App Ever" Casino Games.)

ONE PLAYER:
✭ For one player, play against a smart AI opponent.
✭ Several AI personalities (with widely different styles and who all play advanced poker strategies) keep it fun and challenging even for expert poker players.
✭ Upgrade, then beat each to earn their card protector to use in the game.

TWO PLAYER:
✭ Awesome wireless play. You and a friend, each on your own iPad. Or play on your iPad against an iPhone or iPod touch with "Heads Up: Hold'em" too!
✭ Share one device and use your iPad like a chess board between two people. Heads Up: Hold'em can either just deal the cards (letting you use real world chips) or both deal the cards and let you bet virtual chips onscreen against a friend.

FEATURES:
✭ Easy and intuitive touch controls keep the mechanics of the game simple. Spin to set your bet amount, then push the pile of chips into the "bet" circle to place your bet. Or drag your cards to the center to fold. In two player games, simply slide the chip off your cards to peek.
✭ Beautiful photographic images and realistic sounds make it feel right.
✭ AI opponents vary from aggressive to careful, upgrade to play them all.
✭ Upgrade for dozens of awards to earn and use as card protectors in the game.
✭ "Peek Counter" prevents cheating in two player games.

Features In-App Purchase for upgrading right within the app.

AI Folds Constantly!!

At first I loved this game, the UI is beautiful..

However, as others have mentioned... THE AI FOLDS EVERYTIME you bet more than 10 chips!! The dev who commented is wrong, there is no pattern or sign of respect, if you bet more than 10 chips (I'm being generous with that number, it's usually less) the AI will simply fold regardless...

Beyond frustrating, not worth even considering for now.

At first I liked, then after playing it a little it became frustrating.

When you play against the app it folds when it gets the first 2 cards or if you make a bet 9 out of 10 times it folds or after all 5 cards are dealt & no additional bets are mad it folds. Know smart person would do that. It doesn't cost anything to see the players hands. I also hate that when you win the 100 chip bonus, the app has rediculisly high bids on poor hands. I have no desire to buy the better version due to the issues with this one. By the way I would rate this 1 * if I could but this will not let me change it.

Nice - but...

The app has a great, simple interface making gameplay slick. But... the A.I. program is not built well. The A.I will fold, in early hands, if you bet anything on any hand, good or not, until it reaches a certain point. Then it calculates probability of a win based on undealt cards, not just on its hold cards. Example (or evidence) I've played 615 hands and on four occasions I have seen it go all in with a 7,2 off suit and have been beaten when I've had hold cards that were much stronger. Many other similar examples to base my evaluation on.
It will do some odd random bets occasionally, programmed bluffs sometimes. It also has a different betting algorithm for 100 chip games but outcomes are usually the same.
It doesn't seem to 'know' what you are holding, but knowing what 'its' going to get is CHEATING.
Do not use this program to learn or practice Hold'em, it is not realistic gameplay.
