Description
The world has ended and a darkness has fallen so deep that no candle could ever extinguish it. To fill the emptiness of a tragic human condition, zombies have risen from the dead to spread their infection, town by town, city by city.
The only one that can stop them... is you.

ZombieSim is a zombie simulation, a game in which humans and zombies struggle autonomously for their survival. You can simply watch as humans run for panic, as zombies chase them down, as a human becomes a zombie and a zombie is eradicated by a human.
At your disposal is an arsenal of military power, missiles that you can use to rain destruction down wherever you choose, all with the touch of a finger. The only question is, where will you choose?

ZombieSim
I like zombies. I like their movies; I like their games--shooting them is one of my favorite past-times, be it with shotguns or machine guns or any other guns.
But what I didn't realize?
Bombs.
Bombs are satisfying.
Name one game where you get to kill zombies with bombs.
Hold on, no, I'll wait ...
(pause)
... (you still thinking?) ...
Yeah. Didn't think so.
Bombs. Bombs dropped from the sky. Big ones, small ones--doesn't matter. You are God viewing the zombie infection from above, and you have bombs.
Two kinds, in fact. Small ones and big ones. Think of the small ones as smart bombs. They go where you tell them to; you click a spot, and that spot dies. But the big ones? Those are the cool ones.
Did you ever play Mario Paint? You remember those really really big bugs? The ones ones you ALWAYS splatted with your state-of-the-art swapper, and they made the most delicious sound EVER?
Those are the big bombs. You have to hold your finger a little bit longer on the screen, but then this Little Boy goes Hiroshima style and drops down with the most satisfying BGGHWWAHHOOM you could want. And every damn zombie (or human or really any living thing) in the reasonable vicinity turns to pixels of blood.
That is fun.
The game itself is set in a randomly generated city of grey blocks which can be as numerable or sparse as your settings desire. The options also let you choose how many zombies will spawn at the start and various other details, and even comes with 4 pre-generated scenarios: the farm, the town, the city, and the showdown. The farm through the city are expectable: the number of zombies increase as the complexity of the maps increase. But the showdown is badass: No buildings, lots of zombies, and the humans are f*****g FREAKED!
The character colors are purple, yellow, greens, or white, and 'tis my only issue with this app; when I watched the trailer I assumed the greens were zombies and the whites were humans. Turns out it's the other way around.
Purple = People. Regular people.
Yellow = Scared people. Running for their lives. They saw a zombie. HOLY S**T
Green = Armed people. They found guns. They can kill zombies.
White = Zombies. They can convert you. They're like scientologists.
Purple and yellow I like. Purple is enough away from the rest that, sure, they can be the humans. Yellow is panic (OMG McDonalds!), so yeah, that's fine. But green are guys with guns and zombies are white?
Hold on.
I see green better than white. That means white is neutral. Green is GREEN (ZOMB!E).
I've played a lot of games. White is never evil.
That being said, this game kicks a*s. It's fully customizable, there are zombies, there is AI, and it costs $2. You get to bomb s**t. You get to set up human survival scenarios. You get to set up zombie epidemic scenarios. You get to see what happens.
If your iPhone isn't quite ready to play Left 4 Dead, then this app is for you. I give this a 5/5. My issues can be easily fixed, and the game is goddamn addicting.
Start training now!
All you need to know: Humans are Purple. Scared humans are Yellow. Hunting humans are Green. Zombies are White. Bombs are awesome.
Need to read the help first
It's pretty neat, but only if you read the help first. Otherwise it's a bunch of colored dots.
Also, there's a menu bar the comes up when you shake the phone. That seems like something they should have told you.
