Still not meeting MobeMe's potential
If I pay $100 a year for Apple to host my blog, buy the annual iLife update, and a new iPhone every year, why can I still not update a MobileMe blog via my iPhone? It's like Apple wants me to drop my subscription.
I can access my "Sites" folder with my iDisk app for windows, but not my iPhone? This needs fixed and soon!!!
Why buy iLife or subscribe to MobileMe if I can can't access it anywhere. MobileMe should be called DesktopMe.
Finally! This app should be available a year ago. But paid apps are still better.
Nice app, as everything from Apple. However, there is no way to create folders, zip/unzip files and arrange files on your device.
I'd recommend OneDisk or AirSharing if you need more flexibility.
Great, but room for improvement
Great for 1.0, could be better:
- App is quick, though a 2.4MB pdf loads much faster than a 244KB Word document.
- Cached documents load faster when in airplane mode and are slow to load when the data connection is weak (possibly because the app is trying to check for updates?)
- Updating item counts without having to enter each folder would be helpful.
- The Edit button on the main folder view doesn't do much unless you have custom folders in addition to the default ones.
- Additional features would be great:
-- Return to where you left off in each document
-- Ability to copy the link to the shared doc
-- Autofill/suggest email addresses when sharing
-- Move files
-- Create folders
-- Save files from email attachments to the iDisk app
-- Download/Save docs from safari to the iDisk app
-- Compress documents
