We'd like to clarify a few things:
Believe it or not, the bird in Aves is not really alive.
It is not aware.
It does not feel pain... it is digital.
----------------
It does not get sad.
It does not get depressed.
It is not real. So don't feel bad.

Aves was built with two brand new revolutionary gaming technologies:
Ghost Binaural Audio- a BINAURAL-centric 3D audio engine. Nothing comes close to this level of AUDIO REALISM in any game, period.
BioReplicants Animation- a highly ADVANCED PHYSICS and animation engine. Produces completely NATURAL motion in three dimensions, and yet is EFFICIENT enough to run perfectly smooth on the iPhone. See for yourself...

What's New in Version 1.1
Intelligent target tracking.

My reaction to the action by action=reaction = WOW
I say this without a shout of a doubt that 'the sound is awesome' and 'the bird seems so damn real' are cliches that are soon going to be associated with Aves, if they aren't already. Unlike other games, Aves makes the sound an integral part of the game by introducing the new dimension of using the bird's cries to determine its 3D location with respect to the archer a.k.a you. Once you manage to find the bird, the job doesn't get any easier. It's almost like the bird has a real sense of its own and is making a sincere effort of escaping the archer, while intermittently enjoying its flight. The symbiotic interplay of audio and video really make Aves a great experience.
I've given this game 4 stars only because I got frustrated trying to get past one level :P Now that I have crossed it, I appreciate the fact that the developers have not tried to oversimplify the game since that would ruin its beauty. I'm sure most serious and non-serious gamers would love this. I would recommend this for non-gamers too, to check out what the technology of the future is. Happy hunting!
Amazingly intuitive game with crazy 3D sound !!!
Ok, I don't even own an iPod touch/iPhone yet. I played it on my friends iPod and I have decided to buy an iPod touch just to play this game.
Enough said !
Super disappointing
I bought Aves believing the marketing that it was a ground breaking, but it's really not. It's on par with other games out there only. The sound is nice and the movement of the birds is okay, but the execution of music and "story" (there isn't any) are atrociously bad. As soon as I heard the bird on level three, I deleted the game. It was some doof cawing in falsetto "pretty bird". The developers didn't even try to make it decent. You can have the best sound tech in the world, but it means nothing if you're forced to listen to crap. Pass on this until they get their act together.
