Unfortunately the automatic restoring of In App Purchases doesn't work properly when you delete the app prior to updating it. Therefore just click on the item and pretend to buy it. you do NOT loose Live Traffic after Update
I cannot believe that there are so many morons out there. Once you purchase Traffic Live Updates, it is yours. EVEN IF YOU UPDATE Navigon AND YOUR EXTRAS DO NOT SHOW UP JUST REPURCHASE THEM. The app store will recognize that you already purchased them and ask you whether you want to download them for free again.
STOP giving this app lower ratings for YOUR STUPIDITY. Rate it based on its features or lack of features but for your stupidity and/or ignorance.
Also your contacts are under the "More" option on the bottom right. This is where Navigon could have done a better job to make it more obvious.
Cannot find Address Book Contacts with Suite, Apartment, or Floor Numbers
I live in a major city and most of my addresses in Contacts have either suite, apartment, or floor numbers. Navigon cannot read ANY contact addresses with suite, apartment, or floor numbers (e.g., #400, Suite 400, 400, or Floor 4).
Because it cannot read these addresses, Navigon bypasses the street address entirely and directs me only to the city center, often miles away from where I need to go. This means to use Navigon with these addresses I have to go into my Contacts, write down the address, and then re-open Navigon and enter it manually.
This is a MAJOR oversight on the part of Navigon's software team, and because they have NO direct contact for North America Support, I cannot discuss this with anyone there to let them know of the issue, find out answers and possible workaround, or hear of future plans for incorporating the ability to use contact addresses with suite, apartment, or floor numbers.
Google Maps has a similar problem, however it allows me to easily delete the suite, apartment, or floor number and then re-map the destination. Navigon doesn't let me modify the destination address at all within the program.
A convenient GPS program otherwise, but this is a major and irritating flaw. I encourage them to bring in this functionality asap.
Great App
Very nice update. Load time seems a touch longer than the previous version, but the better graphics are much appreciated. Street labels are much clearer now and easier to read. I haven't gotten a chance to test out the new reality view, but all other features are as promised, and there are even features not mentioned.
My in-app purchases were also cleared out. All you need to go is go "buy" them again. You won't have to actually pay even though it suggests you will. This is the same for every app in the app store, and the way apple has designed it. It's the same way as if you uninstall an app and "repurchase" it, it'll be free. Apple keeps track of all of the things you've bought and will let you get them again for free. After "rebuying" the in-app purchase it should pop-up a dialog box letting you know you've bought it already and it'll be free.
