iCaduceus: The Clinician's Alternative gives you quick and accurate assess to natural remedies. iCaduceus Diagnostic is the first application to pair Western medical diagnosis with non-pharmacological treatments. With over 400 conditions, you can easily find information about the diagnosis and then learn about evidence-based and clinically-based botanical, supplement, homeopathic, nutritional and other non-invasive treatment options. Since there is relatively little research on alternative remedies in comparison to pharmaceutical remedies, we include clinical research.
iCaduceus' information has been distilled by holistic physicians for physicians. This application is designed for clinician's licensed to diagnosis and treat disease. It should not replace consultation with a trained practitioner. With it, clinician's can prescribe non pharmacological remedies as a first line to treat common problems.

Great tool for natural medicine

Handy Homeopathic Reference
This application has a huge amount of painstakingly collected naturopathic information on specific health issues. It is all indexed clearly by condition, with each condition having a page of information containing Etiology, Physiology, Symptoms, Physical Exam, Labs, Differential Diagnosis, and Treatments, including Homeopathic and Botanical options. I think that this application is primarily intended to be used as a handy pocket reference for health practitioners and students. However, I can see this application being useful for patients who wish to be well-informed about naturopathic options before consulting their doctor. Since, like all medicine, naturopathic medicine rapidly changes as new information becomes available, it is especially important to have an electronic reference such as this that is regularly updated. As a reference text, the price is very reasonable.
One suggestion that I would make for future versions is to allow keyword based searching. For example, if a patient has photophobia, it would be nice to be able to quickly identify all conditions for which this may be a symptom.
Hands down the Best Alt Med App out there!
I am an RN who has also taken many alternative/complementary/integrative medicine classes over the years and have been looking for an app that brings it all together - this is it! It is by far the best one out there. It covers hundreds of diseases in an easy to navigate format - either browse or jump to by alpha on the side. Once you select the disease, you can easily jump to either Etiology (&Symptoms), Physical Exam (&Labs, Diff Dx), Treatment Overview (incl. Nutrition), Homepathy, Botanicals, Supplements and Other treatments. None of this requires Internet access! Skip the "Lite" version as there is no upgrade path and you're going to want all the diseases instead of only about 30. Keep it up - great app!!!
