Description
Spica - Super Monochrome is a camera application that allows you to take a super strong black-and-white contrast photo. The black and white sharpness of the picture will clearly show up the lights, shadows and texture of an object, and creates beautiful pictures with a great atmosphere.
Spica is very simple to use. Get a slight of an object you'd like to take a picture, then just tap the shutter button! Taken pictures will be automatically transformed into a super high contrast black and white photo and saved right on your iPhone.

Spica is an amazingly deep rich B&W monochrome photography app. The results are brilliant yet hit & miss at times too due to lighting etc but Not a fault of the app. Spica is one of my all time faveorite B&W apps & a worthy ✭✭✭✭✭ app. I would like to see the ability to modify or edit the results if need be such as adding a slider tool/finger swiping accross screen to alter strength of effect. As well since Spica gives such a stunningly rich B&W effect adding the option to do the same in a Deep Rich Color (Spica Colortone) effect too would look awesome! Plus add optional saving/uploading features (Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, Posterous etc). Spica truly is an amazing rich B&W photo effects app giving your photos a brilliant touch of class. Great app
Has potential but lacks the ability to apply the effect to existing photos.
A deal breaker for me and will only get 2 stars due to it. I will reevaluate when the dev updates this app
UPDATE: the developer released an update to allow for camera roll saves. Great support! Revised for 5 star rating now!
Very retro/artsy
I remember when you had to work in a darkroom with special high contrast papers to get this effect. Love this effect.
