ForeFlight Charts 1.0 is a fast and elegant app for referencing
FAA Sectional Charts and FAA Terminal Charts for the
continental United States. Charts supports fast pinch, zoom,
and scroll gestures; airport search and route planning; simple
calculations for finding total trip distance, initial magnetic
course, estimated time en route, and fuel burn; and integrates
with the iPhone and iPod touch's location services to enable
simple moving map capabilities.

online pilot resource, to bring ForeFlight Charts to life.
ForeFlight Charts is a great utility for pilots, aspiring pilots,
aviation enthusiasts, flight simmers, and flight support
personnel.
Features:

The write-up on App Store is clear that Charts are not cached but I believe that is an essential upgrade. Also, the Infomation Box for an Airport does not include the ATIS/AWOS frequency. This is as important as Tower or Unicom,
Finally, the Settings options only support cruise speed and fuel burn. They need to add Time Bias and Fuel Bias and Remainder. Without these changes, the estimated time and fuel numbers are at best misleading as they don't allow for clearance, run-up or fuel burn in a climb.
I use ForeFlight and am impressed with it. Hopefully, ForeTeam will improve the Charts app with the feedback they get,
Ok for now
I have been using skycharts which has downloaded charts. Pilots should understand that without connections cell towers or Internet you will not get moving map functions.
That said, this is a great preflight program and when you can download charts a good backup. With TFRs noted in the future it will be another Foreflight ap I will be using a lot.
Awesome idea, but needs improvements.
I agree with the last reviewer. This app needs improvements. Like everything ForeFlight creates, Charts is slick and useful (mostly). However, for the app to be truely useful, I think cached (downloadable) charts are a requirement so that the user does not require an Internet connection to view them.
After seeing what ForeFlight has done with its other apps, I don't doubt that it is already constantly working on improvements. I expect that this app will be a 5 star app within the month.
